When you arrive in Rovaniemi, you will be met at the port or train station and driven to the hotel. The Campfire Northern Lights Search Tour will kick off your adventure in the evening. In Finnish Lapland, the Northern Lights can be seen up to 200 days per year. And, at only 6 miles from the Arctic Circle, Rovaniemi may have the best view in the world. You’ll only need to walk a short distance through the stunning winter wilderness to reach a secluded spot on the Kemijoki River. No city lights or obstructions will detract from the beauty of the Aurora Borealis. The only other light will be the gentle glow of the campfire over which you and your team will be frying your sausages.

- Reindeer Sledding
- Santa Claus Village
After breakfast, you will be driven to the Makela Reindeer Farm. Here you’ll begin the unforgettable experience of riding a reindeer-drawn sleigh through the forest’s immaculate snow trails—all the way to Rovaniemi’s famous Santa Claus Village! There, you and your family can go shopping for handicrafts and souvenirs. You can also send postcards from the Santa Claus Main Post Office, chat with the elves, and even meet Santa Claus. From his office, he manages operations. And, even though it’s not Christmas, you won’t go home empty-handed. You will be given a reindeer driving license as well as a certificate commemorating your Arctic Circle crossing.
You’ll be back at your hotel by midday, and the rest of the evening is yours. You can explore the city further, take a swim in the hotel pool, or relax at the hotel’s bar or in the first-class sauna.

After breakfast, you’ll be on your way to meet another beloved Arctic animal: husky sled dogs. While reindeer will always be Lapland’s official animal, nothing beats the excited, stridently-barked greeting you’ll receive from these gorgeous canines. Controlling the sleds will be explained to you by expert guides. You’ll also go on an unforgettable Husky Safari in pairs.
You’ll unwind at the ranch with a hot cup of traditional berry juice. You’ll be listening as the head musher describes his and his dogs’ incredible working life. You will then be driven back to your hotel.
